LSS BEYOND LAW SCHOOL career events

Published 1 Aug 2011, 9:23 am, by Amy Harrington

The Melbourne University Law Students’ Society Careers Portfolios and Equality Directors welcome you to the Beyond Law School careers fair. Following the success of the inaugural festival last year, we wanted to host a similar event to highlight the broad array of career opportunities that are available to Melbourne Law School graduates. We have invited a number of passionate and inspiring speakers to provide students with an insight into their chosen career paths, working in the Victorian, Australian and international legal sectors. We invite all students to take advantage of this opportunity to engage with the speakers presenting at Beyond Law School and hope that this provides you with the chance to consider your own career opportunities and pathways.

The fair will host six events over Weeks 3 & 4 of Semester 2. Please keep an eye out for updates regarding some of the seminars.

Important information for students from regional and rural areas.

The Young Professionals Provincial Cadetship Program contributes to economic development through the growth of a skilled regional workforce and growing, sustainable population into the future.

For students who move away from regional Victoria to study, the Young Professionals Provincial Cadetship program will provide the opportunity to undertake a paid work-based cadetship in a field related to their study, in regional Victoria, during the semester break. The program provides a direct link to employment and an ongoing connection with regional Victoria for students who have moved away to undertake their preferred course of study.
