The Victorian Bar Office is currently looking for volunteer JD students to assist in the upcoming Australian Bar Association Advanced Advocacy Training Course. The Course is run by judges, silks and participants are experienced barristers from around Australia.
The JD students are needed over Wednesday 25th January and Thursday 26th January to act as lay persons in a mock trial, which will be conducted by experienced barristers and critiqued by the advocacy coaches. Students can volunteer for either day. They need approximately 10 people for the Wednesday and 12 people for the Thursday. Students will be provided with a free lunch.
This is a fantastic opportunity for some keen law students who could experience excellent advocacy first hand and have the benefit of the coaches’ advice.
