The Victorian Bar Office is currently looking for  volunteer JD students to assist in the upcoming Australian Bar Association Advanced Advocacy Training Course.  The Course is run by judges, silks and participants are experienced barristers from around Australia.

The JD students are needed over Wednesday 25^th January and Thursday 26^th January to act as lay persons in a mock trial, which will be conducted by experienced barristers and critiqued by the advocacy coaches.  Students can volunteer for either day.  They need approximately 10 people for the Wednesday and 12 people for the Thursday.  Students will be provided with a free lunch.

This is a fantastic opportunity for some keen law students who could experience excellent advocacy first hand and have the benefit of the coaches’ advice.

Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.  Since humble beginnings in 2003 in Melbourne, Movember has grown to be a truly global movement inspiring millions of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to participate.

Movember is seeking expressions of interest from JD/LLB students entering their penultimate or final year in 2012.  The intern would need to be available for 2-3 weeks full time from 6 or 13 February with the remaining days of work to be negotiated.
