IHL Fundamentals Course (Australian Red Cross)

Australian Red Cross is running an introductory IHL course over two evenings. The course is ideal for students and young professionals working in law, healthcare, development or government. No legal, IHL or Red Cross Movement background is required – the course in intended as an introduction only. It will cover the history and structure of the Red Cross Movement, basis and main principles of IHL, enforcement and some contemporary issues in IHL. 

Places are limited - book in early so you don't miss out.

Date: Monday 20th & Monday 27th February

Time: 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Venue: 23-47 Villiers Street, North Melbourne

Cost: $50.00 general public; $20.00 students and current Australian Red Cross volunteers.

MLS Internship Program: British Institute of International and Comparative Law

The British Institute of International and Comparative Law is one of the leading independent research centres for international and comparative law in the world.

Over the 2012 academic year and 2012/2013 summer break, two internships will be available at the BIICL for MLS students enrolled in the JD, PhD or Master of Laws programs.  Successful applicants will receive a minimum of GBP1,500 towards their travel costs and living expenses while in London.
