Victoria Law Foundation Internship Applications Now Open

Applications for the VLF Internship have opened and will close 5pm 10 February 2014.

They offer Victorian law students an opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes understanding of a non-commercial legal body and to develop networks to assist them in their future careers.

You must apply for the position online through the Victorian Government careers website.  The job reference for this role is: VG/VLF17.

Please note that in order to apply through the Careers website you will need to be registered for this service. When completing your registration we only require you to complete the compulsory fields.

In order to be considered for the role you must include with your application:

•  a current CV;

•  a copy of your official academic transcript; and

•  cover letter, which includes a response to 3 questions - see Internship recruitment pack.

Research Assistant Position Available

Komesaroff Legal (www.komlegal.com) wishes to engage a Research Assistant on a casual basis during November 2013.

The subject of the research concerns stamp duty (across most States and Territories in Australia) and other State based taxes.

This research will have a resources industry focus. Prior experience in either or both of State taxation and resources is desirable but not essential. The most important requirements are excellent research skills and the ability to present findings in a clear and concise way against tight deadlines. The work is to commence by 11 November 2013.
