LIV Health & Wellbeing Series for Young Lawyers

In 2011 the Young Lawyers Section will be hosting a series of sessions focusing on personal sustainability.

The new Health & Wellbeing series will discuss different topics while focusing on the health and wellbeing of new lawyers. The focus of the series is prevention and intervention to assist new lawyers throughout their professional & personal lives.

Session 2: Understanding and Preventing Depression

Mallesons Stephen Jaques Insight Program

The Mallesons Stephen Jaques Insight program gives students a high level overview of how Mallesons is structured, what areas of law they practice and the type of clients they work with.

The Insight program is aimed at law students who are not yet able to apply for a summer clerkship i.e. 3rd year LLB/1st year JD or equivalent. However, if you are eligible for a clerkship this year but are unable to participate (e.g. overseas exchange), and would like to participate in Insight please contact us.

Applications are now open and will close on 29 July.

Federation of Community Legal Centres

The Federation of Community Legal Centres is the peak body for Victoria's community legal centres.  Their website is a great resource and includes information on jobs and voluntary opportunities in the community sector. 

The Federation also has a Law Graduate Scheme.  Applications are currently open and close on 18 July.  More information can be found on the Federation's website:  http://www.communitylaw.org.au/
