The Deloitte Summer Vacation Program is currently accepting applications.

Deloitte have various opportunities within their Tax Services area that will give students exposure to a range of tax issues including corporate, global employer services, indirect and research.

Applying for Clerkships? – Have your CV and cover letter reviewed by MLS Careers Consultants

A reminder to all students that MLS careers consultants are available to review your CV and cover letter before you submit it.  We still have a number of open slots so book in via Careers Online in the usual way.  Email us at law-careers@unimelb.edu.au if you experience any difficulties.

Please ensure that you have looked at the sample CV and cover letter in the Resources section.

Also our next workshop will be held on 7th August where Angela and Valerie will answer FAQ’s on CV and cover letters.  (Details in the Events section).

Firms offering Seasonal Clerkships

Molino Cahill has been added to the list of firms offering seasonal clerkships this year. No closing date has been specified, so ensure to get your applications in asap.

Allens clerkship applications

If you are applying to Allens you will find in Section 6 of the online application form you are asked to specify the type of degree you are doing.  There is no option for JD.  Allens have advised to select 'Masters' from the drop-down list.

Phone etiquette for job applications

When applying for jobs, including clerkships, don't forget to ensure that you have an appropriately professional voicemail message recorded - and answer the phone professionally as well.
