British Institute of International and Comparative Law internship - applications close Wednesday!

The British Institute of International and Comparative Law is one of the leading independent research centres for international and comparative law in the world.

The BIICL is offering an internship for a MLS student enrolled in the JD, PhD or Master of Laws programs.  Successful applicants will receive a minimum of GBP1,500 towards their travel costs and living expenses while in London. The internship commences March 2013. Applications for October 2013 will also be considered.

International Student Visa Information Session

International Student Services will be presenting a session for international students to provide an overview of the different visa options available to law graduates. 

All international students are welcome and encouraged to attend this session.

Law Institute of Victoria: Student Membership (FREE! )

At Orientation, students were provided with a Law Institute of Victoria (LIV) Student Membership Form. Complete your form and hand it in to either the Student Centre or CDS by the end of February to avoid having to provide proof of enrolment! Spare forms are available from either the SC or CDS on the Mezzanine.

For those of you who are not aware, the LIV is the membership association for lawyers and those working in the legal profession. As students, you are eligible for free membership and access to the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) which offer valuable support as you build your legal career!

MLS Mentor Program 2013

Details of the MLS Mentor Program for 2013 will be provided to you in the next few weeks, with the program commencing later in semester one. Helen Green is the Mentor Program Consultant and will email full details about the program including the online registration process, in due course.
