Are you at the beginning of a career in law? Or perhaps you’re still choosing a career direction. The LIV is delighted to invite all law students, graduates and new solicitors to an information session on the career pathways, options and opportunities available for you in the legal industry.

Presenters from a range of practice areas will share firsthand experiences and valuable insights on how they forged their unique career pathways – and how you can too. The session will also include a casual Q&A where you will have the opportunity to ask specific questions.

Whether you are still studying for your law degree, or have been practicing for a few years and are looking to set some career goals, this informative session will help you take the next step in your legal career.

​Indian Equality Law Visiting Fellowships

Applications are invited for 2-3 visiting fellows to spend 4-5 weeks at Melbourne Law School in 2019, as part of the Indian Equality Law Programme.

The Indian Equality Law Visiting Fellowships are designed for advanced-stage doctoral students or early-career academic scholars (with no more than 5 years of post-doctoral, university teaching or litigation experience) with an interest in Indian equality / anti-discrimination law and/or comparative law. Funding for the fellowships is provided by the Letten Prize awarded to Associate Professor Tarunabh Khaitan in 2018. Fellows will be based at Melbourne Law School and will benefit from a research-intensive environment.

Master in International Human Rights Law - University of Oxford

Study for a part-time Master’s in International Human Rights Law at Oxford University starting September 2019.

Work online from your home country from September to June and spend your summers at New College, Oxford taking classes with students from all over the world and a distinguished,  internationally recognised faculty. The programme is aimed at lawyers and other human rights advocates who wish to pursue advanced studies in international human rights law but may need to do so alongside work responsibilities.

Application deadline: 12 noon UK time (midday) on 25 January 2019

Scholarships available

A number of scholarships are available for this course. These include up to two full scholarships for candidates from ASEAN membership countries: Brunei Darussalam,  Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. All students who are offered a course place will be considered for any scholarships for which they are eligible.
