MLS Mentor Program - JD First year student registrations are now closed

Registrastions have now closed. Thank you to those students who completed the online registration form. Students participating in the program will be emailed details about their mentor in the next couple of weeks.

MLS Internship Program - Applications now being accepted!

This winter the following organisations are offering fabulous internship opportunities to Melbourne Law School students. 

Applications are now open and will close on Monday 28 April 2014 at 12noon.

-          Coroner’s Court
-          Disability Services Commissioner
-          Federation of Community Legal Centres
-          Fitzroy Legal Service
-          Flemington and Kensington Community Legal Centre
-          Hague Conference Asia-Pacific Regional Office (HAPRO) (Hong Kong)    
-          Job Watch
-          Judicial College of Victoria will be listed shortly
-          Law Institute of Victoria
-          Legal Services Commissioner
-          McCabe Centre for Law and Cancer
-          Native Title Services Victoria
-          Trust for Nature
-          Victoria Legal Aid - Family Law
-          Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine will be listed shortly
-          Women’s Legal Service

Students are able to apply for 3 internships from the list above.

These opportunities are open to second and later year JD students only.

Each internship opportunity advises if it can be taken as placement for the Legal Internship elective subject, or in some cases as voluntary internships.

First year students will be broadly matched with a mentor on the basis of some common interest. For more information see the Mentor Program Guidelines.

UniCapitol Washington Internship 2015 - Interested in applying?

Uni-Capitol Washington Internships seeks to match students annually and exclusively to Congressional offices.

UCWIP 2015 internships will run from Monday, 5 January through Friday, 27 February 2015.

A compulsory information session is being held on 1 May for students who are interested in applying. You must attend the information session if you plan to apply.
