The Melbourne Law School in collaboration with the University of Melbourne Counselling Service offers a program of mindfulness workshops specifically for JD and LLB students during Semester 2, 2011. Mindfulness is form of self-awareness adapted from the Buddhist tradition of meditation that has been found to have considerable health benefits and can be useful in the management of stress and the treatment of depression.
Weekly lunchtime practices that will run throughout the semester in the Law Building. These sessions are free.
WHEN? Tuesdays 1-2pm in Room 609.
The Counselling Service also runs student workshops during semester. These are a great opportunity to develop coping skills that will be beneficial throughout your studies and career.
