Presentation on Independent Diplomat's Work and the Significance of International Law

Independent Diplomat (ID) is a unique non-profit venture in the world of international relations, diplomacy and conflict prevention. ID delivers advice and assistance to governments, political groups and NGOs across the three pillars of contemporary diplomacy: political and diplomatic strategy, international law and public diplomacy.
Dean Bialek is ID's Director for UN, Climate Change and Natural Resources. Dean leads ID’s work on climate change and Western Sahara, and helps to oversee ID's work at the UN. Before joining ID, Dean had over five years' experience in the Australian foreign service, most recently as adviser on economic and environmental affairs and law of the sea at Australia's Mission to the United Nations in New York.
Dr Dialek will talk about Independent Diplomat's work and the significance of international law as an integral aspect of modern diplomatic strategy.
