Victorian Bar: Mentor Program for Indigenous Law Students

The Victorian Bar recognises that Indigenous Australians, their cultures and experiences, have an important part to play in the legal profession. They run an extensive range of programs to attract and retain Indigenous barristers, as well as to generally increase the participation of Indigenous Australians in the legal profession

LIV & Hanover Mooting Competition: Spectators Welcome!

A great opportunity for law students to experience a real court room and see actual Supreme Court Judges adjudicate the qualifying rounds. The LIV and Hanover Welfare Services Mooting Competition has been held for over ten years and provides an invaluable opportunity for trainees and new lawyers to exercise and improve their advocacy skills. Registration for spectators is not required.


When: Every Thursday in June, 6 – 7pm (except 27 June)
Where: Old High Court Building, 450 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne

Book a time on Law Online.  Students are asked to please bring hard copies of their CVs and cover letters to their appointments. This gives the consultants the best starting point to help you develop a winning application.

In addition, if you are applying to a specific opportunity it is beneficial to supply the position description for the consultant to reference during your meeting.
