Student Peer Leader Recruitment
The Student Peer Leader Network is a chance for you to contribute to the University community by co-creating activities that promote connection and belonging among students.
What is a Peer Leader?
Peer Leaders are students who are selected to work on University-led initiatives because they demonstrate a commitment to community values.
Peer Leaders work alongside staff to enhance the student experience by delivering events and activities tailored for the student community. In 2017 these events and activities included:
- Pitch Perfect – a skills building workshop on how to develop your personal pitch
- The long and Short of It – Story telling event based on the MOTH
- Student panel discussions and Q&A style events
- Wellbeing activities alongside RUOK Day and Mental Health Week
- Leadership Day – a celebration of student leadership on campus
Applications will open on Careers Online from 22 – 30 January. You can log on Careers Online – Student Peer Leader to review the position description and eligibility requirements.
As part of the University of Melbourne’s commitment to diversity and social inclusion, candidates with a social, education or financial disadvantage are strongly encouraged to apply including Indigenous Australian and international students.
