DEEWR consultants are working with staff and students from various Australian universities, to review their recently developed Student Self Assessment Employability exercise.  The exercise covers ten skill areas that are considered by employers to be Core Skills for Employment.  These skills are common across industries and job roles and, together with specific technical knowledge, are important for effective performance in the workplace.

By completing the exercise, DEEWR hopes that students will gain a better understanding of where their strengths lie and where there are areas in which they might further develop.

The focus group sessions will involve an Introduction, working through the Self-Assessment in your own time, and providing feedback.
