Capacity Development Across Cultures (CDAC) training is a popular two-day course offered through the Australian Red Cross for aid workers and others working and interested in international development or local cross-cultural programs.

DESCRIPTION:
This popular two-day course will enhance your competencies to implement capacity development initiatives across cultures.
The course will develop your skills for building relationships, understanding capacity and working collaboratively with partners and colleagues to achieve capacity development outcomes.
Recommended for Red Cross delegates, all aid workers, and anyone already working or interested in international development or local cross-cultural programs
At the end of the course, participants will have knowledge and skills to:
- appreciate cross cultural capabilities relevant to overseas or cross-cultural programs
- understand the influence of culture on behaviour
- understand capacity and capacity development
- integrate cultural perspectives to capacity development practice
- build trust and work collaboratively with people from different cultural backgrounds
- engage in capacity development activities using contemporary approaches.
Our facilitators from Leadership Strategies Inc. bring extensive field work, consulting and training experience. The course is intensive, with ample time and opportunity for discussion and learning from other participants.
