Hamer Scholarships for Intensive Language Study in Asia

The Victorian Government Hamer Scholarships Program is a language and cultural immersion program designed to build the Asia-engagement capabilities of Victorians and to help strengthen cultural awareness and partnerships between Victoria and Asia. The program is open to Victorians aged 21 or above who are Australian citizens or permanent residents. It supports recipients to undertake 1 semester of intensive language study at nominated universities or institutions in China, Indonesia, Japan and Korea. Scholarships are valued at $10,000 for language study in China or Indonesia and $15,000 for language study in Japan or Korea, Applications are now open and will close on 10 March 2018.
