A Volunteer Business & Law Practicum Opportunity- this July 2011

During this semester break, (Monday 4th July-Friday 22nd July 2011), you are invited to join a team of post graduate business students from the University of Melbourne to produce a business plan for CARS (Clergy Abuse Restorative Society). You will be working very intensely with the team during this time.

CARS has developed out of In Good Faith & Associates (IGFA) an independent pastoral advocacy and care service for survivors of clergy and religious abuse, www.igfa.com.au . IGFA is shifting from a client consultancy business to establishing a not-for-profit organisation, CARS, with the aim of setting up a more sustainable support structure for survivors of clergy sexual abuse, their families and communities, and to continue systemic advocacy and other work .

The business team have a mixture of business, finance, IT background, but no legal background. Your legal background would provide an invaluable addition to the team, and you would be exposed to an excellent network of legal professionals and environments.
