THE EMPLOYER
Wimmera Health Care Group is based in Horsham, 300kms north-west of Melbourne and 450kms east of Adelaide. It is the largest hospital in the Wimmera region and provides a range of specialist services including a broad range of Allied Health Services.
THE BURSARY AGREEMENT
Wimmera Health Care Group is offering a bursary agreement to one final year Physiotherapy student. The bursary agreement relates to the provision of financial support in the final year of study amounting to a total of $3,500, to reimburse for costs associated with study. The approved bursary position will have a 12 month full time position at Wimmera Health Care Group as a Grade 1 Physiotherapist in 2017.
WORKING WITH THE WHCG PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT
The position will include exposure to Acute Inpatients, Rehabilitation, and Outpatients. The Physiotherapy Department provides regular mentoring to new graduates, an Allied Health New Graduate Support Program, plus generous financial support for ongoing professional development. The successful applicant will also access eight weeks free accommodation onsite.
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS
Eligible applicants must meet the following requirements:
•Enrolled in the final year of an accredited Physiotherapy degree
•Currently achieving a credit average or higher
•Can demonstrate an interest in rural public health practices
•Prepared to commit to at least 12 months service at Wimmera Health Care Group following the completion of qualifications.
•Hold a current driver’s license
•Able to obtain a satisfactory police check and working with children check
