The inaugural Telstra Cloud Hackathon is kicking off in April with local entrepreneurs, designers, and developers teaming up to create tech innovations in the health, bio-science and fit-tech space. Using their skills and a collection of APIs, data sets & hardware,teams will compete for over $10,000 in top prizes and have the opportunity to network, share and learn from some of the best creative’s in the industry.
The Telstra Hackathon is a free event supported by Microsoft and will begin onFriday, April 15at6:00PMat the Gurrowa Innovation Lab, located at 242 Exhibition Street. Final presentations will take place on Sunday, April 17 at 4:00 p.m.
This year, hackers will collaborate and compete, vying for cash prizes, Microsoft Surface Devices and a load of bragging rights. Submissions will be judged a panel of judges including Telstra’s Craig Fulton, Director, Infrastructure and Cloud Solutions.
