What is Science communications?
How does science communication help researchers and the public?

Would you like to learn how to write engaging science stories for a general audience while maintaining the integrity of research?

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to practice turning your research into a piece of writing suitable for the web, newspapers, popular science magazines or radio. Apply strategies for writing, including how to structure articles other than for scientific/academic publications and write in digestible, active, definitive language.

You will have the opportunity to practice interview techniques and preparing quotes when engaging with journalists.

The course is useful for Science, MDHS, Vet Science, and Engineering students.
