Study 3: Learning from videos in digital learning environments

In this research we will use videos to investigate how different cognitive states interact in an online learning environment. The research is funded through a Special Research Initiative of the Australian Research Council.

If you choose to participate in this research you will access a video educational tool in one of the University of Melbourne’s computer labs (Level 3 MGSE, Queensberry St.).

You will be asked to complete activities related to various topics such as mathematics, psychology or physics. You may participate in this study if you have participated in similar studies previously. Individuals with a computing science or IT background are unable to participate.

The session will also involve questionnaires asking for demographic data, your motivation towards learning and your experience learning with the video material.
