Australian Launch of the Global Interdependence Movement: Symposium
The University of Melbourne is hosting the Australian launch of the Global Interdependence Movement at Ormond College from 12-2pm on Monday 12 September 2011.
The aim of the Symposium is to stimulate dialogues between international and local, including indigenous, students on global issues such as peace and conflict, human rights, ecological sustainability, the economy, education, food security, and the arts. The dialogues will culminate in a series of result orientated messages to be sent globally and generate solution based initiatives to be led by groups of committed students.
Interdependence Day, Melbourne 2011 is part of a series of events taking place globally. Please see more information at the Global Interdependence Movement website www.interdependencemovement.org.
