PACE Mentoring is an opportunity for students to gain valuable skills and advice on how to be successful in gaining employment and explore career path options with an industry professional.

The Spring 2015 program is due to kick-off in September with mentors in the Finance and Engineering sectors of Cummins South Pacific in Scoresby.
The program involves a commitment of 6-8 meetings over a three month period. Mentees benefit from accessing the mentor’s accumulated knowledge and expertise, and being guided in their professional development and goal setting.

• Reviewing resumes and cover letters
• Practice interviews
• Worksite visits
• Building a professional network
• Discussing workplace adjustments
• Building confidence
• Mapping career objectives
• Understanding key strengths and abilities

To be eligible

1. You must have a disability as defined by the Disability Discrimination Act, which includes any physical, intellectual, psychiatric, sensory, neurological, and learning disabilities, as well as physical disfigurement, and chronic illness.
2. You must be over the age of 18
3. You must be committed to the program for the 12 week period
