Would you help save an endangered species? Maybe you’d like to help our environment recover after a bush fire or flood? Perhaps you’d like to help keep our oceans clean?
You can apply for a $6000 BAYERboost environmental scholarship before September 30.
The Australian Geographic Society in conjunction with Bayer Australia is running the Bayerboost scholarship again this year and the closing date is drawing near! The BAYERboost environmental scholarship is open to all undergraduate students interested in a career in Environmental Science.
The scholarship will give students the opportunity to take on a 6-12 week project in a university or industry setting during the summer holidays.
Last year, undergraduate student Stella Fielding received a $6000 scholarship for her 12 week project with Manly council. With a passion for the environment, Stella was heavily involved in Manly Lagoon’s dredging and rehabilitation project during her university break and hopes to educate and engage the community to ensure safe water quality and drinking water for future generations.
“I wish people understood the indirect impacts of our actions on the natural environment. It’s hard to put the two together, but when we do, I think a lot will change…”
