Do you like chocolate or snacks?
Researchers at The University of Melbourne are looking for volunteers for an experiment investigating the preference for rewarding stimuli. To investigate this question, participants will complete a computer-based task in which they have to evaluate appealing food items (i.e. snack foods such as chocolate, chips, baked goods). The experiment consists of one session, lasting no longer than two hours in total. In addition to a snack food you like, you will receive monetary reimbursement of $20. The experiment takes place in the Redmond Barry Building at The University of Melbourne, Parkville.
We are seeking participants who meet the following criteria:
Are between 18 and 35 years old.
Speak English fluently.
Have no history of any eating disorder.
Are not pregnant.
Enjoy eating snack foods (e.g. chocolate, chips, baked goods etc.).
Frequently consume snack foods
Are familiar with regular supermarket brands
Currently not on a diet.
Have not been on a diet within the past six months
Have no food allergies
