Participants required for two studies:
1. Climate change and Australian Society &
2. Perceptions of Females
We require male participants who are Australian citizens and students of UoM for two studies that are being run in the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences.
The first study is about climate change and Australian society. The purpose of this study is to examine people’s views about how acting on climate change could affect Australian society and the Australian way of life. You can participate in this study whether you believe in human-induced climate change or not. You will be required to read some information about climate change and answer some questionnaires relating to this issue.
The second study examines how people perceive images of women. It focuses on the ways that people attribute psychological properties and attend to women based on their physical appearance. You will be presented with a picture of a woman and asked to make some judgements about her. You will also be asked to complete a short attention task, and will perform another task in which you categorise different words and images.
Each study takes approximately 30 minutes and you will do both in one sitting, requiring a total of an hour of your time. You will be remunerated $20 to cover travel costs. The studies are being run on Monday and Tuesday of each week.
