Why sit in a cube all summer when you can be travelling the world?
Triptrotting is looking to select a candidate as the “Ultimate Triptrotter” on an around-the-world trip of a lifetime.
- The candidate will use the Triptrotting website platform to connect and meet up with like-minded locals from all over the world. He or she will need to write regular blog posts and create video blogs of his or her experiences to share with the community.
- The candidate will receive a stipend of up to $10,000 USD in total value that cover all transportation (flight / train) and accommodation costs (competitive with top-tier investment banking and consulting salaries for the summer!)
Who is an “ULTIMATE” Triptrotter?
Fun, Curious, Worldly
1. A motivated self-starter passionate about traveling the world and learning about other cultures.
2. A “People Person”, who is interested in making friends from other countries.
3. An excellent writer, who can blog about his / her daily adventures and captivate readers.
4. Experience with photography, video shooting, acting and blogging is a plus, but not required.
How to Apply:
Just like applying for any other job, applicants need to submit a resumé… BUT....We don’t care about that accounting or biology class you took! We care about YOUR TRAVEL EXPERIENCE AND CREATIVITY! Tell us what makes YOU deserve this experience of a lifetime?
- Answering the following questions could serve as a guide to creating your travel resume:
1) What is one country you have always wanted to travel to and why?
2) Where in the world have you traveled to, what exciting / enriching activities did you do there? For example, a school trip to or being a part of a study abroad program and learning about the business culture and history of the country.
3) Why should we select you to be the Ultimate Triptrotter?
4) Do you consider yourself to be a global citizen? How do you fare in interacting with people of different cultures? Remember, the most original answers will get the most brownie points!
5) How many countries have you travelled to? How many languages do you speak?
- Submit a “travel resumé” to us in the form of a cover letter, a resumé, or best of all, a video answering the questions above and more! Remember, this is your travel resumé so feel free to be creative in expressing why you deserve to be the ultimate triptrotter!
