Want to make a difference to the mental health and wellbeing of same-sex attracted persons?

Do you identify as gay or lesbian, and are 18 years or older?

The Australian Research Centre for Sex, Health and Society would love to hear from you.

The Australian Research Centre for Sex, Health and Society (ARCSHS) is undertaking research into online self-help programs for depression and anxiety to evaluate their appropriateness for lesbians and gay men. Such programs seldom take into account the needs and experiences of same sex attracted persons, who may find themselves excluded. This research will inform the future development of self-help resources to better-cater for same-sex attracted persons.

We are looking for same-sex attracted persons to take part in our Melbourne CBD focus groups. During participation you will be shown some existing programs and discuss them with us. You will also be asked to share your thoughts and ideas about what could be done to make future resources more gay-friendly.

The groups will be made up of 4-6 participants and will take no more than 1.5 hours. You will be paid $30 for your time.

You don’t need to have any experience with depression / anxiety, nor do you need to know anything about programs for depression or anxiety.

To learn more or register to participate, please go to
