Speak another language? Use your language skills to gain a professional advantage and a skill that’s in high demand.

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is offering Languages Teaching Scholarships for final year university students and recent graduates with a language major or equivalent.

If you’re successful, the scholarship will help pay for you to become a qualified languages teacher. You might also be eligible for additional grants and opportunities once you’re employed as a languages teacher in a Victorian school.

Scholarships are available for study in 2014, or you can register your interest for the 2015 program.

Apply now and you could help students develop a skill that will uncover a world of opportunities. Visit www.education.vic.gov.au/languageseducation to find out if you’re eligible. Applications close 11 October.
