The study is entitled, “Focus Group Discussion of Road users' Attitudes and Behaviours”
To participate, you must hold a current Victorian drivers’ license (provisional or open) and be aged 25 years and under (17-25). Your participation will involve a focus group discussion with up to another 6 other drivers and in which you will be asked to provide your feedback on some road safety messages (e.g., “To what extent did this message make you think about your own driving behaviour?”). The discussion will take 1 to 1.5 hours and will be audio-recorded.
Prior to discussing each message with the group, you will be asked to complete a brief, anonymous survey which assesses your thoughts and feelings about the messages (e.g., How persuasive do you think the message was? How likely is it that you will act in a way consistent with this message?).
All comments and responses will be treated confidentially and made anonymous once transcribed.
We require students who are P platers or holders of a current, valid drivers licence. Tac advertising. 90 mins INCENTIVE: $70 cash payment at the end of the session.
