Julian Filer Films is Melbourne based production company, currently in the early pre-production stages on a comedic web series to be shot in April 2013 and released online as original programming.
We are commissioning 3 emerging writers who wish to develop their skills and write episodes for the following concept:
- Comedic Web Series.
- An ensemble sitcom in the style of Friends and Modern Family.
- Writers will have a passion for comedy and sitcom television format.
The above positions are offered on a deferred pay basis and to emerging writers for building portfolio and experience. Upon completion of production, each series will be distributed and released through YouTube’s new ‘monetization’ system, generating advertising based revenue and return on investment for all cast and crew participants.
During January and February the project will include approximately 10hrs per week, this includes 4hrs worth of meetings and 6hrs self lead work. Then in March each writer will complete 3 drafts of a 22minute episode in their own time as well as attending a 4hr table read upon completion of each draft.

Serina is an experienced producer and director, working across Australia and the UK on such projects as the educational web series ‘L8R’, producing BAFTA award winning content addressing youth issues. Serina is also a human rights lawyer.
