The SAS Viya for Learners Challenge starts Mon 18-July-2022 08:00 AEST - Fri 22-July-2022 18:00 AEST, hosted online through Kaggle InClass. Participation is geared towards students who are looking to get into and engage with machine learning problems. You will learn and walk through the steps of the analytics lifecycle, which is the process of data science.
See the technology working firsthand, while learning the #1 Most Valuable Career Skill, SAS®. According to a McKinsey Global Institute Study, the shortage of data scientists and analysts could reach 250,000—by 2024. All STEM Students Welcome!
Register to access SAS Viya for Learners to play the game. This is a full suite of cloud-based software that supports the entire analytics life cycle – from data, to discovery, to deployment – and it also lets you code in SAS, Python or R.
The problem itself is on a simulated dataset, that students will analyse, related to a real-world business problem that might be faced. Through analysis, students will learn to understand how to explore and pre-process data and develop machine learning models using SAS Viya.
