O-Lab is currently seeking expressions of interest from Masters students from across the University for a number of upcoming internship and employment opportunities.
Based out of Melbourne Connect and the University’s Innovation Practice Program, O-Lab takes innovation concepts conceived on campus and further develops the opportunity through prototyping, testing and validating hypotheses of the innovation. Projects are conducted by interdisciplinary teams of students, industry specialists and expert researchers, and are supported by O-Lab Innovation Mentors.
What does an O-Lab project involve?
O-Lab projects will be as varied as the sponsor organisations we partner with. Throughout the project period (3 – 6 months), you will work with the sponsor organisation to test, prototype and validate an innovation concept.
What do I get out of it?
Students employed in an O-Lab project will be exposed to a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience, grow your network and challenge yourself to gain an edge over other early-career graduates. Some O-Lab sponsor organisations have already indicated they may be interested in offering further employment opportunities for the right candidates once the O-Lab project has finished.
How do I get involved?
Submit your EOI to stay up to date with the latest O-Lab news and be among the first to know when O-Lab project job applications open.
Projects are currently being prioritised for this Summer, Semester 1 and Semester 2 next year.
