Why should I apply?
- Make a meaningful impact to enhance the student experience and benefit the student community
- Develop important employability skills (communication, leadership, project management, budgeting etc.)
- Make important connections and networks on your project prior to graduation!
How do I apply?
You can apply for a SSAF Grant individually, or as part of a team. As a student applicant, you will need to obtain the support of a University of Melbourne staff member (professional or academic) who will be your mentor.
Once you have your idea, team and mentor sorted, you can start putting your application together.
The application form asks you to outline your proposed project, detail the benefit to students and the need you aim to address. You'll also need a sense of the outcomes you're looking to achieve and how you might evaluate them.
For a full overview, visit the SSAF Grant Program webpage. There are guidelines, application timelines, resources, eligibility and selection criteria to view. You'll also find examples of past projects, to help inspire your own! Applications have been extended and close Sunday 25 April 2021 midnight.
