Canon is calling all Victorian students and graduates to take part in the upcoming Innovation Games with Paddl Games. An opportunity like no other to build critical industry experience, network with experts in a fun and creative environment.
Join the COSBOA Innovation Games (Victoria) 2018 Day 3, sponsored by the Victorian Government and Canon.
The Innovation Games will take place on Thursday 11th October 2018 in Melbourne CBD 8.30am - 6pm.
Using design thinking techniques 60 tertiary Victorian students and graduates will work alongside 10 local business, Canon employees and the Paddl Games facilitators in teams to brainstorm, ideate and design innovative ideas for their business around the challenge focus "How do we help you accelerate your business transformation to enable you to thrive in a digital world?"
What’s in it for you?
If selected, you will join a diverse group of people to form an innovation team of 10 made up of 6 students and/or graduates and 4 experienced employees in every team, from the local business and Canon.
Each team will be matched to a local business to work collaboratively on the day to come up with innovative ideas
- *The Paddl Games facilitators will support and guide you every step of the way so you will be successful (and have lots of fun!)
- *You will learn about design thinking and will have the opportunity to put it into practice on the event day
- *You will be provided with documentation and plenty of opportunities to ask lots of questions to the Paddl Games team
- *You will meet your team members and business before the day and have a chance to talk about what you are going to do on the day - you will be invited to join a chat tool called Slack (it’s easy to use and a great way to stay in contact).
- *You will also have the opportunity to book a 15-minute interview on the day in the Paddl Employer Booth for a one on one chat with an HR or business executive from either your team’s business or Australia Post.
- *You will get to expand your network of employers, mentors and other participants!
And of course, awesome prizes to be won by the 3 best teams!
Skills wanted
If you are a student enrolled in a Victorian educational institution (University, TAFE or RTO) or a graduate resident in Victoria and you have a background, interest and/or qualifications in one or more of the following areas:
- *Commerce, Business Administration, Management
- *Economics, Finance, Accounting
- *Law, Social Sciences, Justice
- *Human, Resources, Psychology, Behavioural Science
