Human Resources Consultant - Cook Islands Red Cross

The Cook Islands Red Cross has recently identified that a new Human Resources Policy needs to be developed and implemented as the current policy is too large and complex and in need of review and simplification. This Assignment will help simplify this policy to a more practical level and also explore other areas where the current policy is lacking. It is hoped that the new Human Resources Policy will assist the Secretary-General and all CIRC staff in performing their core functions as a leading humanitarian organisation in the Cook Islands.
The purpose of this Assignment is to review the CIRC’s human resources system and policies. The volunteer’s key roles are:
* Review the Society’s existing human resources policy. The outcome of the review should produce a set of recommendations that will inform the development of a new human resources policy.
* With the outcome of the above review, develop a human resources policy implementation system that is practical and relevant to the Society.
* Hold a workshop with staff and management on the recommended system and reviewed policy.
* Establish a records filling system on human resources for the Society
This assignment has a 3 month in-country deployment to Avarua, Cook Islands. In addition to this deployment, volunteers will undertake 1 month part-time (7-15 hours per week) online volunteering both before and after deployment. •Pre-departure training and in-country orientation
•Travel insurance
•Health & security support (including 24-hour emergency contact)

•Return airfares to country of assignment
•Living expenses
•Visas

Online Communication & Social Media Officer - Nepal Red Cross Society

This assignment has a 3 month in-country deployment to Kathmandu, Nepal. In addition to this deployment, volunteers will undertake 1 month part-time (7-15 hours per week) online volunteering both before and after deployment. See attached assignment description for proposed dates (flexible) and for required skill and experience.
The purpose of the assignment is to contribute and share skills with NRCS communications staff and strengthen the organisation's social media and online presence.
Key Duties :
* The development of social media and online activity standard operating procedures with quick analysis and review of current statues in system, skill and procedure.
* A two-year plan of action to strengthen Nepal Red Cross’ digital and social presence.
* Increase skills within NRCS for creating and managing social media and online activities, particularly in the area of content and key message development, audio visual materials production and editing, online status monitoring and marketing.
* Engage NRCS in particular online campaign.
That includes growing followers/likes, active engagement and page maintenance. The volunteer will closely work with dedicated communication persons in National Headquarters and communication focal groups in branches.

Data Systems Advisor - Nepal Red Cross Society

This assignment has a 3 month in-country deployment to Kathmandu, Nepal. In addition to this deployment, volunteers will undertake 1 month part-time (7-15 hours per week) online volunteering both before and after deployment. The main objective of this assignment is to develop Web Based Data System for maintaining the proper record of volunteers, staffs, members, trained human resources in NRCS headquarters, district chapters and all other organizational units.
The Volunteer, under direct supervision of Director of Organization Development Department and in collaboration with the technical working team members, will be responsible for:
1. Developing a web-based data system for NRCS staff, volunteer and member records.
2. Training headquarters, district and sub-chapter staff and volunteers in the use of the data system.
3. Studying the documents of RMS (Resource Management System) for reference.
4. Arranging meetings and workshops to work on database system as and when needed
5. Some of districts of Nepal do not have easy access to the internet, so a form to be filled in manually will also need to be developed by the volunteer
