Researchers at the Centre for Studies in Higher Education are looking for participants for a lab-based study on using meteorological simulations in conceptual learning.

You can participate if you are:

  • aged 18 or over
  • fluent in English
  • have not studied earth sciences or meteorology at a tertiary level

The study consists of a single, 50-minute sessionon Wednesday 28/03/2018 or Thursday 29/03/2018. There will be 4 sessions you can choose from, two on each day.

  • o3pm-3:50pm Thursday 28/03/2018

The study will be conducted in Room 111 of the Alan Gilbert Building at the University of Melbourne. You will be reimbursed with a Coles-Myer gift card worth $20.

If you choose to participate in this research, you will access an online educational model in one of the University of Melbourne’s computer labs. You will be asked to complete activities related to weather and meteorological phenomena. The session will also involve questionnaires asking for demographic data, your motivation towards learning, and your experience learning with the material.
