Achieve 2B is a New Zealand based Charitable Trust. Achieve 2B is an inspiring intercultural exchange programme for young people with disabilities, facilitating National and International exchanges. What makes Achieve 2B distinctively different is that it will work with disability providers and government to ensure that young people have the support they need to ensure their success
Achieve 2B is in partnership with Melbourne’s Interchange Outer East. As a result of this partnership, in 2017. a Pilot of one student with a mild intellectual disability successfully completed a 3-month exchange from New Zealand to Melbourne. With the support of Interchange Outer East, Achieve 2B is currently looking for an Volunteer Coordinator to further develop Achieve 2B in Melbourne. The role of the Coordinator will be to
- -To build a team of volunteers to assist with the development of Achieve 2B
- -To network and build strategic relationships
- -To oversee the implementation of the program
- -To build a sustainable branch of Achieve 2B in Melbourne.
This role would require approximately 4 - 6 hours of volunteer work per week
Ideally the Coordinator would have passion for this kind of initiative and / or has a disability and /or has lived experience of an exchange programme realises its benefits.
