Sport Development Volunteer Internship Project in Bali

Via Sport is an Australian not-for-profit that utilises sport as a medium to teach students skills in public diplomacy and impact-based development.

Our team consists of a rounded group of young professionals dedicated to developing cultural links through sport between those in the Asia-Pacific region. And we're looking for a group of awesome volunteers to help us do this!

We plan to run an extensive internship program from January 2018 in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia which is aimed at building connections with local high schools and primary schools across Bali.

We are looking for highly motivated students and volunteers with an interest in playing a role in empowering youth and building stronger people to people links.

The role:

The focus of the Sport Development project in Bali is on developing both physical and social skills for the students that we teach. Our Sport Development project operates in a village 30 minutes outside of Denpasar.

This project is well suited to volunteers who are passionate about sports and youth development, and would love the opportunity to share their passion with young learners and future community leaders.

As a volunteer on this project, you will generally work with children from Grade 1 to Grade 6 (Primary School) and Grade 7 to Grade 9 (Junior High School) and you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of creative and innovative Physical Education lessons which link directly to the learning outcomes and curriculum set out by the Bali Education Department. As you will be volunteering alongside the local team and local teachers, you do not need to have experience teaching or coaching to participate on this project.

Our volunteer intakes being on January 13th and continue through to February 25th. This internship has an optional duration from 1-4 weeks, with costs varying depending on time. The program is relatively inexpensive, and will provide a wealth of experience in diplomacy, leadership and sports development.
