Students needed to help with customer research

Date: Monday 13 November 2017

Location: e learning room #1, level 1, Baillieu Library, Building 177, University of Melbourne, Parkville

Time:
Session 1, 10.30-12.00pm

Session 2, 12.30-2.00pm

Session 3, 2.30-4.00pm

Participants required: 12 per session, total 36.

Background

The University is putting in a new online service request platform for staff to log service requests (maintenance, repairs, card access, security, painting, office relocation, and so on). It will make getting things fixed, supplied and sorted much quicker and easier.

The new system is now ready for initial testing and we’d like students to help us test it.

We need people to conduct the tests who are not familiar with either the existing system or the one that will replace it.

The job

We need students to participate in a focus group activity. 12 students required for each of three sessions to be held on 13 November at the address above.

Each session will last 90 minutes and will include basic tasks such as using the online portal to make a request for card access, or similar. After participants complete the task, they will be asked to report on the activity and discuss the positives and negatives of using the new portal.

No specialist computer skills are required.

Reimbursement

Students are required for 90 minutes. In return we will provide each participant with an $50 Westfield gift card.

Participants will need to sign for any payment they receive
